Many travelers want to have a vacation that involves more than just seeing the sites and sitting on the beach. Whilst there is nothing wrong with going home from a vacation in Hawaii with a suntan and some great memories, for a growing number of people that is simply not enough.
At Hedonisia we specialize in Pleasurable Activism! We have fun in our little island paradise but we also engage in social enterprise projects with a global reach.
In Addition to our Fair-Trade Volunteer Program, we offer two distinct Educational Internship options for participants to choose from:

Learn how to create a small Intentional Community earning income based on social values! An insider's education into all the aspects of the internal workings of the Hedonisia Hawaii Sustainable Community Rainforest Retreat!
Learn how we practice Ethical Accounting, Moral Business Relations, Transparent business policies. These are some of the subjects covered. This Internship designed for those interested in gaining economic and social satisfaction through living in a moral and economically viable small community or creating a business enterprise with a emphasis on moral income derived through creating positive social and environmental change. -
Social Enterprise Business Development Workshop
Hedonisia Hawaii is a Sustainable Community based on the concept of Social Enterprise. Social Enterprises are businesses which are economicially viable yet also address social or environmental needs. Sustainable Communities are planned, built, or modified to promote sustainable living with a focus on environmental and economic sustainability.

With Focus on Feminism, Reproductive Empowerment & Sustainable Sexuality
This unique Hedonisia intern program is for volunteers with a liberal arts background and good online research skills. Ideal for students or professionals in the fields of Sociology, Women's and Gender Studies, Human Sexuality, Tantric Studies, Psychology, Humanities. Interview required.
