Hedonisia Educational Garden Farm Inventory

Christina in the Spearmint Garden20% of every lodging payment is considered a " Farm Produce Fee which allows Guests and Volunteers the right to harvest any of the many agricultural crops growing on the property.

Aside from providing Hedonisia with a farming income we also save on the cost of harvesting, packing, transporting and selling our crops at the market.

This is one of the most eco-friendly ways to farm because people eat what is grown right on the property eliminating transportation, storage and marketing costs.

Please note that our Tropical Plant Inventory is new and being updated. If you have a particular interest in rainforest plants you are welcome to apply to be a volunteer Botanical Plant Editor under the Hedonisia Fair-Trade Volunteer Program!

THE HEDONISIA HAWAII GARDEN INVENTORY

Our farming model is to mimic Mother Nature. We find the plants that like to grow in our volcanic rainforest environment so much that they will grow like a weed with minimal maintenance. It allows us to grow many edibles on the property without the need for energy intensive labor as with traditional farming.

In order to offer a unique form of agricultural tourism we have devised a unique Garden Classification. We have divided our property into 26 'gardens' each with their own edible or decorative plants.

By classifying all our plants we now have a very efficient way to organize volunteer labor as well as offering an intuitive way for Guests to easily find and harvest agricultural produce on the property.
