Sustainable Ecology Practices at Hedonisia

  1. Our Eco Policies: Green Sustainable Business and Social Policies practiced by our community.
  2. Eco-Shopping: Eco-friendly Products and Services at Hedonisia!
  3. Eco-Building at Hedonisia: We offer small scale eco-lodgings at Hedonisia that are temporary in nature and use recycled or renewable materials.
  4. Water in Hawaii: We installed water filters so that you can save on the high environmental and monetary price of plastic bottled water in Hawaii.
  5. Local Community Politics, Education & Activities & Government Bureaucracy! We have ongoing efforts to "go through the system" by trying to comply with exhaustive EPA, County, and Health Department regulations to set precedents for ecofriendly buildings and communities in Hawaii and elsewhere. As a Board member of the Hawaii Sustainable Community Alliance, Hedonisia Hawaii has joined in the effort to change Hawaii Zoning Regulations to allow for and encourage eco-friendly farms and communities.
  6. Eco-Toilet: For our Volunteers and Eco-tourists at Hedonisia we have created a beautiful and ecofriendly Eco- Toilet with a Garden View!
  7. The Hedonisia Handbook: Over the years many visitors and guests have asked us "how do you do it?" Because many people want to earn money based on their ideals and also to live in a natural sustainable community. So we have developed the ever evolving Hedonisia Handbook that gives an insider's tour in how to create and manage a community based on Social Enterprise anywhere in the world!
  8. Sustainable Tropical Eco-Farming & Botanical Farm Inventory: Part of every Volunteer & Guest fee is an agricultural fee that allows you to harvest and consume any edibles available on the property. It is much more ecofriendly to bring the market to our farm rather than the farm to the market! As well, we are slowly categorizing all the plants on the property as an educational service for visitors and those who wish to move or live in Hawai.
