Be
a Manager at Hedonisia Hawaii eco-Hostel
|
|
As a Manager you will be working with Guests and Volunteers to maintain a harmonious and efficient eco-community. Job Features:
Ideal for those with previous experience working in the hospitality industry. Because we cannot pay a high salary for this job as we are such a small hostel, we require that a Manager have an interest, hobby or some activity that makes them want to stay on the property. The biggest job duty for a Hedonisia Manager is simply being on the property. For example, computer workers would find this position ideal as they would be able to do their own work and then deal with hostel issues as they arise! Plan 1 - Volunteer Plan for Assistant Managers (Part-time) 18 hours Volunteer Work Trade to live on property and 7 hours of training per week. Once fully trained, profit sharing is then available depending on your working ability and Guest Bookings. For the first month there is no salary. You will be a Volunteer for 3 hours per day in exchange for accommodations. However if you wish to train for Manager then you will have an additional hour for training and practice everyday for management activities. After the first month an assessment will be made of your working ability. We are trying to develop a simple Fair-Trade Management Program which is continually evolving. Basically, you will have a free place to stay and make a little money, running a hostel in a Hawaiian Jungle Paradise! Plan 2 - Fair-Trade Manager Plan. (Full-time) This Manager option has the following Benefit plan based on a transparent accounting of hostel expenses:
You will not get rich on this job but it offers a great opportunity to learn to manage a small eco-hostel community in Hawaii, and to manage volunteers who will be doing tropical gardening and webwork. Please note that the Fair-Trade Manager Plan requires a 3-month contract and is renewable every 3 months based upon mutual agreement. The owner will often leave the property so this position involves a great deal of trust and responsibility with regards to money, actually running the hostel and managing the volunteers. To ensure responsibility, we usually require a $1000 security deposit from Applicants to be returned at the end of the contract. This deposit can be waived if the applicant(s) for this position are able to prove their responsibility and reliability in another way. CONTACT
